Your data rights
Who this page is for
You can use this page whether or not you have a Likenor account. It is also for the person pictured in someone else's photographs.
Likenor is the controller. Its details are in the privacy notice.
What Likenor may hold about you
If you hold a Likenor Cloud account: your account and credit records, a record of each job, and your agreement to the terms.
If you are the person pictured: while a job runs, the photographs of you, the likeness trained from them and the pictures made with it. Once they are delivered, Likenor Cloud deletes them, and always within 24 hours. After that, Likenor keeps the record of your consent.
If you have written to Likenor: what you sent, and what Likenor did about it.
The privacy notice lists everything, with how long each is kept.
A likeness made without Likenor Cloud
A likeness can also be made without Likenor Cloud: on the owner's own computer, or on a graphics card the owner rents in their own account. Then Likenor did not receive the photographs, and has no copy of the likeness or of the pictures. Likenor cannot reach that computer or that account, so it cannot delete anything from them.
If a likeness or a picture of you was made that way without your consent, tell Likenor through the complaint form. You can also report it to the police.
What you can ask for
- A copy of the personal data Likenor holds about you.
- A correction of data that is wrong or incomplete.
- Deletion of your data.
- An objection to Likenor using your data where it relies on legitimate interests, as it does for safety records.
- A restriction on how Likenor uses your data.
- A copy you can take elsewhere of the data you gave Likenor.
- Withdrawal of your consent, if you are the person pictured. Likenor Cloud then stops using that likeness, and the application stops rendering with it.
- A copy of the safeguards that protect your data when it goes outside the UK.
- A person to look again at a decision the application made automatically, such as a refused photograph. Use the complaint form for this.
How to ask
Fill in this form. You do not need an account.
You can also write to licences@likenor.com.
How Likenor checks that it is you
Likenor asks only for what it needs to be sure the request comes from the person whose data it is.
- Everyone: confirm your email address by the link Likenor sends. Likenor sends its answer only to that address.
- If you are the person pictured: your name, your email address, and what you know about who made the likeness and when. Likenor does not ask you for a photograph of yourself. It asks for an identity document only if it cannot be sure any other way, and deletes its copy once it has checked.
- If you are acting for someone else: written authority from that person.
If Likenor needs more, it tells you what and why.
When you will hear back
Within one month of receiving your request. If a request is complex, Likenor may need up to two more months, and will tell you why within the first month. There is normally no charge.
What Likenor cannot do
- Delete anything from a computer Likenor cannot reach. Once delivered, a likeness and its pictures are on the account holder's computer.
- Give you another person's personal data. Where your data is mixed with someone else's, Likenor may have to leave theirs out.
If you are not satisfied
Tell Likenor through the complaint form. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
If you live in the European Union, you can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
